Love & Sustenance Part II

My friends in the film industry used to call me Skinny Allergy Girl (aka SAG aka Screen Actors Guild) cos they would catch me skipping all things Craft Services, tucked away somewhere in a corner eating seeds, nuts and rice crackers. I think Squirrel Girl might’ve been a thing too. That was before anyone knew what the heck I was talking about when I said I couldn’t eat gluten and nearly burst into tears on my behalf when I said I also had to skip dairy.

Luckily things have changed and tonight BimBeriBon opened for the night (no cooking woohoo!!!!!) offering take out dinners in celebration of Cinco De Mayo, one of my favorite holidays in honor of a country dear to my heart.

So we made up some Oaxacan New Fashioneds, put out the decadent spread including salsas, dips & chips, tacos, rice & beans AND churros with the best ever chocolate sauce. We dressed the table with candles and some Carolina Flowers from Emily and placed them in one of Michael Hamlin’s decadent crater glaze vessels. Beautifully his glaze and the flowers matched the colors of the note that came with our food so I went to town with some paints and rough brushes to try to do his work and the color theme any sort of justice. Ha Ha, well... it will certainly help me remember the evening ;).
