Awesome postcard from our niece Helen yesterday with an illustration of a bird on the front peeping “I Poop on Fascists.” Today is Mother’s Day and in my mom’s honor I thought I would pass the message along. She shared her love of birds with me as a kiddo and we have had several conversations during this quarantine about the incredible birds coming to our feeder everyday. On our call this morning she opened up one of her birding books to help me determine which one was visiting us with dark blue/black metallic coloring. At first we thought it was a Brewer’s Blackbird, but now I think we just happen to have an extra dark Indigo Bunting stopping by. And then also this card because Mom would be more than delighted to poop on a few fascists herself :).
